Here we are at the start of a brand new year, and it is a time when we all look forward and reflect on the past 12 months.
I have had a very busy, happy year in my watercolour world in January 2016 I was experimenting with backgrounds and produced this piece concentrating as always on the eyes....
I also decided to try to have a painting accepted in the Wildlife Artist of the Year Exhibition, and so I sent 2 entries off hopefully...
February saw me experimenting with movement
I love the magical properties of watercolour and only sometimes does it work in my favour, this little blue tit was definitely one of my favourites
Spring was on the way and I had a lot of fun painting new subjects
I also really enjoyed the flowers coming into bloom and getting to know bees a lot better. I was thrilled when some of my bees even made it onto honey jars.
June was an exciting time as I had got my curled fox accepted in the David Shepherd exhibition and I was thrilled to see him on the Mall....
Summer was a very busy time and I spent most of it painting birds for a very big commission I can tell you more about later this year...over 50 paintings done!!!!
Then moving into autumn, and still working hard, I tend to get my most commissions at this time of year read for Christmas
I have produced lots of new cards this year and have also been working with Glebe Cottage Card Company, who have been selling my cards all over the country, they too have some exciting ideas for my work this year.
And so to December, Christmas it a very busy time for me and I am thrilled that so many of you want to give my work to people as gifts. I can definitely say this year robins were my best seller
Looking back has been fun, I have so much more I could show you, but it's now time to say....Thank you for all you do for me, for liking my work, commenting on what I do. I feel so blessed .
Here's to a happy and creative New Year x
