Lympstone Manor

My biggest commission so far....

The Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines asked me if I would like to create some art for his new venture, a luxury country house hotel and restaurant just outside Exeter. Opened on 3 April 2017, Lympstone Manor has 21 bedrooms, fine dining cuisine and stands in 28 acres of gardens and parkland on the banks of the river Exe in East Devon.

Each bedroom suite is named after a British bird and I produced more than 60 paintings which are now hanging in the bedrooms and public areas. The birds I have painted include the heron, woodpecker, avocet and kingfisher with a total of 21 species represented.

I was also commissioned to paint landscapes of the estuary and the grounds which have been beautifully reproduced to create wallpaper for the fine dining room, stairs and reception area.

It was an amazing experience and I am hugely honoured and proud to have my work hanging (and printed) on the walls of such a wonderful place.

To celebrate this amazing hotel and the art I created  for it, I put together a collection of work inspired by Lympstone Manor, the estuary and its birds.

While the collection has all now gone to new homes, I still produce art works, prints and cards of selected designs, all available to buy from the website. I hope you like it.
