Our Golden Years

An original watercolour which inspired me to write this poem 21cm x 30cm 

Our Golden Years ...

Our golden years ,our future fears, the things we left unsaid.
Our race is run, its been great fun, let's put our fears to bed.
Let's say the things we need to say and leave regrets behind.
Let's do the things we want to do, see what treasures we will find .
For although the sun is setting and soon we'll need to rest
Today is meant for living and we shall live it to our best
Each new day is precious, each new sky and each new view
We don't know what is coming , but I know I want to spend my time with you .
